Saturday night’s race at Daytona International Speedway included Miss America singing the National Anthem and NASCAR superstar Mark Martin waving the green flag to get things going. Sprinkled throughout the race were occasional spots announcing the 2028 release of the NASCAR-themed movie, “Days of Thunder 2,” complete with flashes of Tom Cruise hanging out at the track. As the race only had four cautions to slow it down, it was a steady slam-bang frantic competition from beginning to end among our racing warriors to make it into the Chase.
