Talladega Superspeedway is the box of chocolates of NASCAR, as you never know what kind of a race you might get. On Sunday, things started off with three legends (Donnie Allison, Bobby Allison, & Red Farmer) giving the call to start the engines, and ended with the newest member of ‘The 800 Club’, Kevin Harvick, having victory snatched away again. In between, as opposed to the prior races of the weekend, there weren’t that many cautions. There was the awful and good stuff: grief for Kim Burton as Harrison wrecked out; and joy for the Busch family as Kyle made it through the last laps’ chaos. There was also a whole bunch of commercials (153)…even more than this year’s Daytona 500 (133)–which is classically a sponsor extravaganza.
