Not so very long ago, in NASCAR Land, folks were so enamored with the former driver of the No. 48 Chevy, Jimmie Johnson, that he and his sponsor, Lowes, were seen in ads quite often. They renamed Charlotte Motor Speedway to Lowes Motor Speedway; and if you went shopping for a screwdriver in your local Lowes, you might see a life-size cardboard cutout of Johnson in the middle of an aisle.
